Exercising Outdoors
Exercising outdoors adds extra benefits that exercising indoors doesn’t have. Fresh air and sunshine are just a couple of the benefits of exercising outdoors, and something your body needs.
If you stay cooped up all day you may not get enough Vitamin D , which is a vitiamin your body absorbs from the sun. Also, indoor air pollution is a big problem. Exercising outdoors gives you a chance to dimish both problems at once.
The other benefit to exercising outdoors is that going uphill on a real hill works more muscles than just adjusting the settings on your stationary bike or treadmill.
I know this because my son is a cyclist. After exercising indoors all winter on theĀ stationary bikes, they exercise outdoors in the spring. They really feel the difference.
